Category: Office Services POSITION PURPOSE Under the general direction of the Teller Supervisor, provide service to the membership, perform cashiering functions and provide other administrative support as needed, and in a manner consistent with the credit union's mission and philosophy. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Accept savings and loan payments from members in person; disburse LOC loan funds for loans and withdrawal of savings; receipt all miscellaneous cash transactions, transfer funds between members' accounts. * Prepare checks for processing. * Balance cash drawer. * Receive cash from sale of money orders and travelers checks. Maintain control register of travelers checks and money orders. * Promote, cross-sell and counsel members on Credit Union products and services in a professional and consistent manner. * Provide routine information concerning Credit Union services and members' accounts, in accordance with credit union policy. * Cooperate and work with co workers as a team member. * Perform other related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES * Skill in handling money and aptitude for detail work. * Typing and ten-key skill with emphasis on accuracy. * Ability to communicate effectively. * Must present a professional, business like appearance and manner. * Word processing skills desirable. * Must possess the ability to organize work in order to give prompt attention to members. * Must be bondable. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS PHYSICAL DEMANDS * Frequent mobility required, surfaces are primarily carpeted. * Constant fingering, grasping, and tactile discrimination. * Constant near, mid , and long distance vision, as well as field of vision and depth perception. * Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 15 pounds. * Reaching up to 18 inches. * Sitting or standing in one area for extended periods of time. * Constant hand/eye coordination.
